Review: Girl On A Wire by Gwenda Bond

My Review:

I really enjoyed Girl On A Wire from beginning to end. The world is developed in a way that let me feel like, for the span of the story, I was circus. It brought back memories of when I was a child who dreamed of running away to the circus to perform trapeze (yes, I was that kid). The story was pretty easy to follow, even though there were a few parts that felt like they stalled the progress of the storyline.

The characters are brilliant. I had no trouble understanding where the characters were coming from and relating to it because of how well-developed they are. I also enjoyed the added aspect of the forbidden romance between rival families, which is so wonderfully punctuated by the characters’ names. This novel made me think and feel, laugh and cry. I am very glad to have read it (and disappointed I didn’t read it sooner)!

Overall, I rate Girl On A Wire 4 out of 5 bookworms.
