Harry Potter Moment of the Week 2017 #14

Harry Potter Moment of the Week is a weekly meme that is hosted by the wonderful Lunar Rainbows!

What’s your favorite Fred and George moment?

This is a tough one to answer because there are so many great moments with these two. I think probably my favorite is toward the beginning of The Chamber of Secrets when they fly Arthur Weasley’s car to help Ron break Harry out of his room to bring him to the Burrow. They went out of their way just to do something nice. While it made Harry’s escape possible (because, as later established, Ron can’t drive well AT ALL) it also is a starting point for putting essential layers on the character development of the twins.

  1. This is one of my favorite Fred and George moments:
“Give her hell from us, Peeves.”
And Peeves, whom Harry had never seen take an order from a student before, swept his belled hat from his head and sprang to a salute as Fred and George wheeled about to tumultuous applause from the students below and sped out of the open front doors into the glorious sunset.”

    1. That is definitely a highlight of their Hogwarts career! It was a toss up for me between that moment and the one in Chamber of Secrets that I ended up picking. ☺️

  2. YES! This is a quintessential Weasley Twins moment! ♥ And they hardly knew Harry back then so it shows that they are just genuinely nice guys that wanted to help! And it displays their daring perfectly 🙂
