I’m reading through the Harry Potter books again with my 7YO and we’ve discovered an entire world of ambient sounds. We started using the different Common Room ambient sounds while reading and it’s pretty excellent. Have any of you tried it?

This week’s topic is: Would you rather take a class taught by Lockheart or get detention with Filch?
I would probably prefer to do detention with Filch. I know what you’re thinking. Yes, I am a bit crazy. I also hate wasting time and I think, given Lockheart’s experience level, taking any class from him would be a huge waste of my limited time at Hogwarts. Detention, however, won’t last forever. No matter how horrible or scary or exhausting. No matter how creepy Mrs. Norris is.

Gotta agree with you! The only good reason to take Lockheart’s class would be to catch up on sleep. XD

I completely agree. I would definitely suck it up and spend the time with Filch so the rest of the time wasn’t absolutely wasted. I’m still a little surprised that Dumbledore let him come teach but he must’ve been completely out of options!

I hate wasting time too and an entire year of classes with Lockhart seems unbearable to me D: I truly dislike Filch but I hope that I wouldn’t get detention too often so it’d balance out. As a Gryffindor, I might get into trouble though so I’ll be learning all the secret passageways in Hogwarts asap so I can outrun Filch if I need to LOL!
