The Book Blogger Hop: 23-29 December 2016

The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly Hop that was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books, but is hosted by Billy @ Ramblings Of A Coffee Addicted Writer. Weekly prompts are given in the form of Blogger submitted (G-rated) questions.

This week’s question is: Do you participate in reading challenges that have you reading 24 hours, challenges that have a yearly goal, challenges that have you reading certain genres, or do you not participate in challenges?

I definitely don’t participate in challenges that have me reading for 24 hours. I love reading, but I also love sleep so when I lose sleep for reading, it’s never intentional.

I am participating in a couple of challenges in 2017 though. One is a yearlong challenge called Beat The Backlist, which will help me shred a little bit of my massive TBR pile. Another is a Harry Potter themed Diverse Reads challenge that runs 1 to 15 January called DAReadAThon. I’m also going to be participating in Diversity Bingo 2017 on Twitter. I’ve never actually participated in a reading challenge before, so I’m pretty excited to try them out!

Head on over to Ramblings Of A Coffee Addicted Writer to find out how other book bloggers answered this week’s question!

  1. Ooh I need to look up Beat the Backlist. I was participating in the TBR Challenge one but for some reason it was really hard for me to keep track with them. I still want to continue tackling my TBR pile for 2017.

    Here’s my post.

    1. I like the Beat the Backlist one because it looks pretty organized and easy to keep track of (plus they’ve added an extra optional element of Harry Potter, which I can never avoid). My TBR is way out of control lol

I checked out your post but I don’t think my comment went through. My body loves the sleep, too!
