Harry Potter Moment of the Week – 17 November 2016

Harry Potter Moment of the Week is a weekly meme created by Leah at Uncorked Thoughts and hosted by the wonderful Lunar Rainbows!

This week’s topic is: Free Week! Your choice 🙂

The most important thing I’ve learned from Harry Potter.

While there are quite a few life lessons to be learned from the pages and screen of Harry Potter, I think there are few that are more important than others. I think that the most important thing I’ve learned from Harry Potter is that even when we might feel so completely and utterly alone, there is someone out there who feels the same way or cares about us enough to really be there, even if we may not be able to see it clearly. No matter how alone we feel, if we just open up a little we can see how not alone we really are.

That doesn’t always mean the people around us, the people we already know, will be the first to show us they’re on our side. Sometimes, it’s people who were strangers to you until that moment. But the lesson remains the same…. none of us is truly alone.

  1. Beautifully said^^ That’s such an important lesson but the Harry Potter books put it across perfectly. I love your topic choice this week!! I honestly learned so, SO much from the Harry Potter series, I could never fully put it all into words ♥ I’m so grateful for Harry’s story!

  2. Nice, I think it’s awesome that so many people have taken so many good things from these books. And you’re right, no one’s truly alone. It can be easy to forget that though, so it’s nice if books remind us. 🙂

    1. Agreed 🙂 I doubt J. K. Rowling realized she was sending so many life lessons to us all when she gave us the Wizarding World. It’s good that she and so many others like reminding us we aren’t alone.
