The Sight Blog Tour & Giveaway

The paranormal war that engulfed New Orleans seven years ago is over. But the battle for the city is just beginning . . .

Claire Connolly is a Sensitive, infected with magic when the Veil that divides humanity from the world beyond fell. Magic can easily consume and destroy a Sensitive, and if Claire’s secret is discovered, she’ll be lock d into the walled district of Devil’s Isle along with every other Paranormal left in the city.

Bounty hunter Liam Quinn discovered Claire’s secret, but refused to turn her in. Together they saved New Orleans from the resurgence of magic that nearly destroyed it. But now a dangerous cult is on the rise, and it will take both Claire and Liam-and magical allies within Devil’s Isle’s towering walls-to defeat the occult threat before magic corrupts them both…

You can find my review of The Sight here. (Hint: I loved it so much that as soon as I found out about this blog tour, I jumped at the chance!)

An Interview With Chloe Neill

I’m so excited to have you here on Vicarious Bookworm to talk about your new book, The Sight. You have quite a few novels published now. Who are the authors that have most inspired you to write?

I loved reading Rachel Caine, Kim Harrison, and J.D. Robb when I started writing in 2005. I still love them!

I’ll have to check out some of their books. But getting back to your books: What was the most enjoyable part of writing The Sight?

Really getting to know the characters and what they’re made of.  Claire, Liam, Tadji, and the others who stayed behind in New Orleans are very strong, brave, and resourceful people, and they are a credit to humans, even if Containment wouldn’t quite agree.

Are any of the characters in your books inspired by people you know?

They are not. I already know the people in my real life. I prefer to write about people I can learn about from scratch!

If there was a Hollywood adaptation of The Sight, who would you cast to play your characters?

I’d leave the casting to the people in Hollywood, although I have a Pinterest board with ideas for people (not necessarily actors) whom the characters resemble.  Nick Bateman is spot on for Liam!

He really is! What question do you wish someone would ask about The Sight that nobody has asked yet? How would you answer it?

Since no one has read the book yet, no one has asked me any questions! I hope the only question they really want to
know is “When can I get book three?!”

Thanks for having me today!
